Never understood the hate for this song.
I think it’s one of the most beautiful melodies on a Manics song of the past 10-15 years. That key change at 2:30, those backing vocals at 2:40, those James vocals and the continuation of the backing vocals at 2:50.... so fucking beautiful.

Not enough of James' vocals, I guess. People tend to not prefer the songs where he doesn't sing much.
I agree it's an interesting song. And that ending is epic.
