1) All We Make Is Entertainment
2) Methadone Pretty
3) Symphony Of Tourette
4) So Dead
5) Be Natural
6) The Convalescent
7) Glasnost
8) All We Make Is Entertainment
9) Don't Be Evil
10) Gold Against The Soul
11) Auto-Intoxication
12) Condemned To Rock N' Roll

Or something...

All We Make Is Entertaiment once is more than enough, let alone twice :p. Replace one of them with Always/Never!

So, in random Manics thoughts, a friend and I have just been talking about Nicky's (possible) appearance in Jools

:right: which lead us to imagine Jools boogiewoogieing through I Killed the Zeitgeist with Nicky as a surprise musical performance
:right: which lead us to think about Jools becoming Manics' next tour keyboard player.

Enjoyed Naysmith's contribution to Masses? Wait till you hear the Joolsified version.

Ah, I'll go for Fragments instead ;)

Ah, but that's been played live once!

Nature's Discontent 25-10-2011 21:39

Can't believe they've never played those songs live. So Dead and Be Natural are the most surprising.

Flint 25-10-2011 21:49

A shockingly huge amount of those songs would make one hell of live stormers, lots of epic rocking that just begs to become huge setlist moments + the immensity of Be Natural + Glasnost which always sounded like the perfect outdoors summer festival song to play, with those gorgeous melodies frolicing in the sunshine.

At uni, no headphones and its one of those days where I really need the manics. Roll on 4.15 and JDB's voice will be full blast.

Methadone Pretty has been played, I'd love to hear it live. Sadly, they played it around 91-92, and I wasn't born :(

He'd be great at the NT show - I'm imagining Found That Soul and Let Robeson Sing with Jools piano on and they'd sound ace.

So, I'm listening to the US mix of The Holy Bible and it's kind of blowing my mind and stuff.

What sort of changes does it make? I considered buying the 10th anniversary release, but I already have two copies of The Holy Bible, and I don't think the accompanying DVD would play here... so I'd really just be paying for the US mix.

A comment someone posted in another thread made me want to ask this question -

What are Manics fans from across the pond's thoughts with regards to This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours? Do you feel you are able to connect with the album? (Just thinking with regards to the lyrics being more 'insular' as it were. Hope that makes sense!

hummingbird 29-10-2011 20:28

it's the only album they had any real success with in the US isn't it?

Might have been. Not too sure to be honest!
