What if you had a time machine and went back to 1992, when Generation Terrorists was released and toured, and had the Manics listen to Resistance is Futile?
What would be the reactions? Would they recognise James' and Nicky's voices? Would they relate to the lyrics? Would they like the music style? Would that change the sound and concept of their whole discography?

Okay, guess I need to sleep now.
Good night. ♥

This reminds me of the question I've always wanted to ask the band (and have sent into 'ask the band' features many times without success)... If the band were sucked back to 1991 in some unexplained time travel phenomenon, how would they record Generation Terrorists? As it was, as a Manics Greatest Hits, as their most recent album....

I think there might be 3 possible reasons why your question gets ignored:
1. Maybe it's a very frequent question they're tired of getting
2. Maybe they took the question too seriously and they don't wanna think about it
3. Maybe your question was misunderstood, maybe they think you asked them about a piece of information that could be found in interviews and biographies

Too bad, these time-travelling related questions from the two of us are just light spirited hypothesis of a situation that will never happen. Something to just amuse ourselves with. At least mine is. Hope I didn't belittle yours.

Imagine how good “Empty Souls” would sound if it was performed in a similar style to “Of Walking Abortion”...

He can’t blame Steve Brown for GATS having programmed drums too.

Just having a spring clean... can someone explain why I have 3 copies of Resistance is Futile on Vinyl?

1) Superduper box set
2) white vinyl
3) .....?

Not to mention a book-CD, a jewel case, 2 copies of the album in a plastic wallet, a cassette... but all of those are accounted for.

Deluxe ‘Superfan bundle’ set included both red and black vinyls from the official store.

You own three copies of the same album that all sound the same, you are going mad!

If only there had been a fourth or maybe fifth colour vinyl, we might have stopped The Gr*****t Sh****n for a week!

Not sure where to put this, so this seemed the best place....

Was at my company's 'strategy' away day today when one of the big bosses said that going down a certain route would mean we'd have to slash and burn, and we all know what would happen if we had to slash and burn?

"We'd have to kill for kicks, kill to live" I considered shouting out before bottling it.

Is this a canonical term???

Lovely! ♥
You can immagine what I wanted to shout during my English classes back in middle school every time the teacher said "repeat after me". ♥
