Bizarrely, I've not listened to the manics now for possibly 6 months - not a single song and the sad thing is it doesn't bother me as much as it should. Am I growing out of love? who knows.

Manics ask: "So why so sad?"
The Drones respond: "It's sad, so fucking sad!" |
Do people still collect? Bought a Rewind The Film one track promo yesterday, wasn't even sure it existed. Nice one.

Does anyone know if there's an easy way to do a mash-up? Very taken by the idea I mentioned on the Great Western thread of putting some of JDB's solo stuff and Nicky's solo stuff together to create 'lost Manics album', but I wouldn't know how to do it.

Itunes playlist?

Haven't done any mash-ups myself, but having played around a bit with Adobe Audition, I can kinda imagine how it might be done, so I'd suggest this one.
But Audition is not for free, so maybe you'll prefer Audacity. Haven't explored it enough yet, but it's very popular and seems not so complicated either. |

Saw this today in a charity shop, of course it made me think of the Manics straight away: http://www.amazon.co.uk/John-Difool-...dp/273161210X/

Also, I found a US tape of GATS in a charity shop today. It's rare finding cassettes at all today nevermind something like this. Anyway I bought, despite already having it...

Entirely clear isolation of actual instruments is nigh on impossible without stem files, but you can get alright separation of some instruments with not too much bleedthrough with some plugins/programs. Hit 'n' Mix is one that comes to mind. |
