"Went to Cuba to meet Castro, never got past sleepy Moscow"
Assuming they were flying from Britain, surely flying to Cuba via Moscow is impractical? What flight goes so far east to go west. Manics need a new travel agent |
Lol, that line has baffled me for years

Robeson had planned to go to Cuba and meet Castro, but "got ill" (/attempted suicide) in Moscow beforehand and didn't make it, and instead returned to London (the Priory, no less) for treatment.
Come on people... |
Repeat at T in the Park in 1994 - a pivotal moment in my 20-something year Manics obsession. I'd been to six or seven Manics gigs before but this was the first time I'd plucked up the courage to stand at the barrier at any gig. When they played Repeat there was complete and utter carnage around me, to the extent that by the end of the song I was so terrified that I pretended I was going to faint so that the steward lifted me over the barrier. I then went back round and stood somewhere more appropriate for a lightweight like myself!

I always imagine 'Peeled Apples' sung in a 'Let There Be Love' style.
"The more I see - hey! - the less I scream..." |
Just come across a Manics soundcheck on Sound Cloud from the 21/05/2011 and James is doing Limelight by Rush and I think a Hemispheres era Rush song as well. Very cool! :D

Can you send us a link Trace? I'm always amazed they've never done a proper Rush cover, Manhattan Project would be a good un.
