That Journal for Plague Lovers is twinned with The Holy Bible is a red herring; JFPL's sister album is really Gold Against the Soul.

Still no sign of the Manics doing a Tim's twitter album party, but Dave Eringa was part of last night's one for Idlewild's 100 Broken Windows, with a few anecdote about how recording it overlapped with song Manics stuff. And he liked one of my tweets which was nice

Just as well, I suppose

Link to The S*n above in case anyone else is using their phone and can’t hover over the source first.

I keep reaching for the like button but it's just not there...

Though it's 1985 for me.

Given how many historic Glastonbury events the BBC have put on iplayer (in excellent quality by the way) it's a shame they couldn't find a single Manics performance to put up.

If they are going for iconic performances then surely 1994 had to be up there? Whilst it might have been originally broadcast on Channel 4 they've got Oasis' performance from that year up.

Ahh maybe that's the difference. Maybe they had to pay per gig.

Having brain fog, but remind me... was the film about GT, Culture Alienation Boredom and Despair... actually released?

I know we watched it in Rough Trade that one time.

edit: just answered my own question, it was in the GT20 (small) boxset, and I've already got a signed copy :lol:

Wasn't the one shown at Rough Trade a quote unquote Director's cut? All I can remember is the crowd murmuring (with one exception) along to condemned to rock n roll.... good times.

I've been noticing a few vintage manics t-shirts recently on eBay going for several hundred pounds but this must be a record if it's a serious buyer;
