I googled it and it's from an interview:

I think it's with Don Van Vliet? I have no idea who it is: http://members.lycos.nl/teejo/dutch/copyright2.html

Well done!!
The quote on the setlist ends at moment...
And it is Don Van Vilet...and ive never heard of them either :P

Don Van Vliet is Captain Beefheart. For those people who saw the Leicester gig, maybe they have a bit of a Beefheart fixation at the mo'.

The setlist my younger son was given after the gig. The quote is:

Quote:

“The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more unbearable.”

KURT VONNEGUT
Although the actual quote from Vonnegut is "... more bearable."

Wonder if that was deliberate or not?

Leicester (De Montford Hall) 8/6/2007 -

"Last cigarettes all you can get - turning your orbit around" J Tweedy.

I think this is from a song by Wilco (Jeff Tweedy is the frontman/founder member), but I don't know much more than this... can anyone expand?

You are correct. It's from the song Jesus, etc from the excellent Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album. I think I'll go and put it on now

I saw one of the setlists and it had this Bertrand Russel quote on it:

"I believe in using words, not fists. I believe in my outrage knowing people are living in boxes on the street. I believe in honesty. I believe in a good time. I believe in good food. I believe in sex."

No idea where it was though! It stood out as a good one.

I just remembered that Sheila gave me the setlist for Cardiff 11th.

"Brands are like spirits - disrupting your life, bombarding you. Your suspicious of them, but attracted too. Its like a trap." Wang Qingsong.

Typing that actually hurt. Yes, that's exactly how it appears on the setlist.

He may have great legs but the grammar definitely leaves something to be desired :)

Someone linked to ebay on the first page of this thread, where someone is selling a setlist.

What are the numbers that are written next to some of the song names?

I think the numbers refer to keyboard settings for that particular song.
