Hahaha thats amazing! Reminds me of the kids singing career oppertunities by the clash on sandinista.

Especially if you look at those kids' face expressions, they look rather depressed or annoyed.

Accidentaly found this on DeviantArt today and thought it would fit in a Manics' album booklet or something.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but whatever happened to the feather boa(s) Nicky used to have wrapped around his mic stand?!? I missed it in Berlin, and it wasn't there in Glastonbury either. When did he get rid of that? It used to be one of my favourite moments at Manics gigs when the mic stands were being set up and Nicky's got an extra round of applause. :-(

I thought it was because it was either too distracting or hid his face but I found this from October:

Didn't think this needed a new thread.

What are the BEST books on the Manics? I have only read one (Sweet Venom-Unofficial one from just after EMG)

I am doing my EPQ on the lyrics of the Manics and need to read up on the band themselves.

I really loved "Everything" by Simon Price. But it's got a few inaccuracies in it apparently.

There was a good blog or two that went through each track and explained the references. But I can't remember what they were called. They even had a thread on here as well!

The one by Jennifer Watkins-Isnardi, of course! (Just kidding...)

I haven't read it in years, but I'd say "Everything" by Simon Price. Not really up to date though, I suppose.

I'd also recommend 'Everything', really great overview of the band. If you want something more up to date, 'Nailed To History' by Martin Power was good, it goes up to Postcards so it covers the decade that 'Everything' doesn't.
