Didn't they do Patrick Bateman last time? Hope they do again lol.

Those dates are looking quite favourable for Glastonbury... Fingers crossed.

This news is getting a lot of hate on Facebook which I just can't understand. The chance to play to 90'000 at Wembley Stadium.....

Why turn it down?

Great for the band.

Aren't Bon Jovi the kind of band the Manics used rip on back in the day?

Yeah, suspect half the moaning will be about what a pain in the arse and expense it'll be to get on the barrier for that. Not arsed about doing any of these meself, but glad to see that they're penciling stuff in for summer.

Bon Jovi are the kind of band the Maniac Street Preachers used to support back in the day.

They were well received by BJ fans too.

Hope they play the TIMT setlist.

Agreed. From the band’s (and Sony’s) point of view, it’s pretty much a no brainer.

Personally, you’d have to pay me a lot of money to go see Bon Jovi  But I realise it’s not for me, so that doesn’t matter.

Routine Builder 29-10-2018 11:16

I'm wondering how much I'd pay if the Manics promised to play I'm Not Working to a sold out Stadium gig...

It’s comforting to know there’s anyone left who thinks that supporting Bon Jovi is beneath a band that this year alone released Distant Colours, played gigs with Boyzone and George Ezra and appeared on any daytime TV show that would have them.

In truth, whatever magic that band had went with Richie. They’re now just some guy that can no longer do his job very well backed by a bunch of session musicians.

Hey this could be great news, legend has it that last time they supported them the shame they felt led directly to the change in direction from GATS to THB.

Something about a shite gig and hearing Jon Bon Jovi thank "the maniacs" on the radio in the van on the trip out of Milton Keynes

For you. For me they are light-years better, more interesting and simply just endlessly more worthwhile from 1996 onwards.
