Highlights include a completely different guitar solo in Little Baby Nothing, a slightly bizarre interview with Richey and Nicky halfway through, James absolutely shredding the extended outro to You Love Us and Nicky taking the piss out of the band for not playing Motorcycle Emptiness live!

Good find ,that's a really good watch! JDB plays about with quite a few of the solos so he must have been in a playful mood :)

Don't know if this was mentioned already, but this sad news appeared on my news feed just now.

That is sad news about steve brown, having produced some bona fide manics classics.

Some of the production on GT doesn't quite stand up anymore (and maybe didn't even at the time) but it's safe to say that no other producer could have made Motorcycle Emptiness into the absolute beast that it ended up being. He had a massive hand in how that song was built and it absolutely changed their career.

No idea if it means anything significant, but the official Manics page on facebook is busy changing profile pictures, etc (although they don't look like new ones...)

Read somewhere today that Sean moved to Huddersfield. Immediately felt both proud (hurrah, my home town!) and sorry (I hope he’s managed to move to the elusive “nice part of town,” wherever that is).

Then spotted this from a while ago.

Fair enough.

Sean Moore lives in Huddersfield? WTF? How come I've never bumped into him here?

Actually, doing a bit of a search seems it's almost three years ago he moved here (apologies that it's from the Sun)

Didn’t know Sean had separated from his wife either

junkymotown 06-02-2021 15:58

Guess not many Sun readers amongst us... haha

I wonder if it was the alleged/insinuated affair that made it Sun worthy..!.. or the move to 'uddersfield...:)

always the quiet uns

Thinking back, I'm sure there was a story a year or two ago about James being spotted at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I guess it must have been part of a trip to visit Sean in hour new abode.

Tim 07-02-2021 20:06

That's a bit of a shock about sean and i've kept up with manics news for the most part but i guess like everyone else here i don't consider the sun to be worthy loo paper let alone adequate reading material.

hummingbird 07-02-2021 21:23

Commute to their club house bit far from Huddersfield. Sean must really like his car :p

Can't Get You Out of My Head by Adam Curtis. 8 hours of Bobbie Searls, Yeltsin, Narcissism and Nixon. And Mao! It's a smorgasbord of manics influences
