Random Manics question, moreso. I've been on a mini-kick of listening to Manics' covers. Out of the ones not on Lipstick Traces, am I missing anything if I have the following:

Suicide Is Painless
Charles Windsor
Take the Skinheads Bowling (1996 version)
The Instrumental
Umbrella
Working Class Hero
Red Sleeping Beauty
Foggy Eyes
Vision Blurred
Primitive Painters
This Is the Day
Endless Plain of Fortune (whyyyyy is this a vinyl-only thing with no HQ download version or something)

You're missing Time Ain't Nothing, I think that's it?

If I wanted to send something to the band (nothing weird don't worry!), is using their PR address a good idea, if people have done it before? I'd like to do it soon but I don't know if it's better to wait until they are doing gigs/meeting fans again so I'm sure that it gets to them.

Nice question, I second your request.

Now you leave poor Nicky alone :p

I wanted to send him something nice, not my knickers, you know!

Nature's Discontent 15-02-2013 01:17

I wouldn't know anything about your knickers :hmmm:

Yes, well, they're not a common topic of conversasean usually.
Now stfu!

Anyone willing to help me and Amay? Pretty please?

I'd say Hall or Nothing is your best bet. I'm trying to organize a postcard campaign to get the Manics to play in North America again and I figure that's the best place to send them.

Thanks, it may be worth a try!

That'll make it 12 years tomorrow since I threw up in the Apollo. Nice one.

Will be 12 years for me come August. Cardiff CIA, remember it well - "I'll get there about 4pm, I'll probably be right at the front of the queue...." Ha! Newbie mistake there, kiddo!

This is a ridiculous trainspotter question, but I have to admit it's bugging me: On MSP's Something For The Weekend appearance, James admitted to being a dab hand at making a particular dish - what was it? Something like fish cakes/fish pie possibly?

I have no idea why this is suddenly important to me!

Mackerel fish cakes apparently :p

People on twitter keep spotting James around the area my grandfather lives. With Charlotte Church's guest house and Van Morrison round the corner it's a very celeberific area of Cardiff. Maybe I should go home and visit...
