Would you (or anyone else) mind taking a few pictures (if allowed) for those of us who can't go? Pretty pleeeeeease..... ♥ |
I was down in Tenby two weeks ago - spent 5 days there. Popped into the museum and art gallery and had a look at the exhibition that was on then (there was nothing saying you couldn't take pictures) and Nicky was on the front page of the local paper.
I would have gone later in the month, but I'm a student so other priorities come first... took a few tips from that old video where Nicky talks about Tenby (http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/int...reachers-tenby) They also sell garlic bread flavoured rock there now as well... "it's the future" |

Looking forward to your gallery. ^_^ |
I saw this autographed photo of JDB the other night on ebay and thought it looked familiar:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOGRAPH...8AAOSwA7dbhMSx Did some quick digging around to confirm my suspicions and it is in fact a photo I took at James' first solo gig in Manchester in 2006! I'm a bit annoyed that someone is making money off my photo even though the main selling is the fact it's signed. |
This article about Banksy's artwork being destroyed right after being sold in Auction reminded me of Generation Terrorists. ♥

I just got some new idiotically resolving audio gear and managed to hear the entire string section of the last two choruses of Everlasting. Like, actually hear what it's doing outside of a couple of fills between lyric lines. And -- it's great. Nothing repeats there, the string arrangement grows and moves individually under each line of the chorus, making it much less monotone. The strings are nice and glassy in texture. I still can't tell if it's natural or synth or natural but synth aided (thinking it's the latter). There's a lower string section too, supporting the lead, but separate of it melodically, so it's actually a two line string arrangement. Quite accomplished really. Nothing extraordinary but very, very classy.
Sort of explains, finally, why that final chorus is so insanely long. They wanted their giant growing string arrangement that no one has the technology to hear not to go to waste. |
Should you want to spy inside James' old flat (or have 500k to buy it)...

Looks like installation art
Sure he has no problems with everyone passing judgement:) The only thing I'd like, if he has trouble selling, is the self watering plant thingy....I spend ages staring at mine and still forget to water them. Got me a cactus, thinking that would be safe, the cat ate it. He can be prickly What a f*****g price tag though....think that's an excuse to pour meself a drink...I dream of lottery wins to buy a house half that..... |
Or not...from @Manics on Twitter:
Regarding today’s Daily Mail Online article about James Dean Bradfield’s Apartment for sale in Cardiff , James wishes to clarify he has never owned, lived or been in that property. Daily Fail as accurate as ever then  |

"The 'Suicide Alley' singer's"
Yep, that's the song that the public will always associate JDB with! |

I wonder how big the paragraph their apology will be! |
