the while richey thing is sad - even taking it out of the band contest for what his ma, pa and Rachel have been through

However one thing which makes me smile is the report of a lady seeing a man hitchhiking with a guitar as we know richey could hardly play and if he was a musician on the run wouldn't be seen with a guitar, and I think in general the sight of a guitar would make him run a mile. But I digress, the reason it makes me smile is because it makes me think of the Eric Clapton story James has recalled a few times when richey was in hospital and slowhand said next time he came he would bring his guitar so they could jam lol

Alright, can we not. Narcissistic abuse isn't a thing. We can't armchair diagnose abusers, just like no-one can diagnose themselves, not even psychiatrists, due to lack of objectivity.

I might be stepping over a line here, but perhaps a Manics sub forum and a thread about a man who most likely lost their life to mental health issues, is not the healthiest way to deal with an ex from 20 years ago? Maybe start a thread in a different part of the forum rather than bumping an unrelated thread from seven years ago.

People thinking they can armchair diagnose for any reason at all is literally why I left FD. I didn't have the tools back then to tell people they were armchair-diagnosing, and telling people self-definition is fine as long as they don't analyse others through this paradigm got taken the wrong way.

I've suffered lifelong mental abuse and have confirmed CPTSD and no-one should go through similar. But online resources convincing everyone they've met a narcissist, especially since that trend is on the rise at the moment, isn't helping people heal, it's just stigmatizing people who developed a personality disorder to also cope with abuse.

I've deleted all the posts and taking my coat. Have a good day people (I did write to the 3 who commented but they did not reply. There you go)

No need for self-martyring, but I'm unfortunately not shocked by the turn of events.
