I like that lettuce t-shirt. Much nicer than the deli counter one .

It's another absolutely stunning gem that's been cruelly locked away. I've often wondered if Lifeblood would have done much better had it been released as the lead single like they'd planned (or at least not 'put the band on their arse') Would definitely have had more airplay than Nixon, might even have got to No. 1
I hope I'm right in thinking it might get an airing at the autumn/christmas shows. I mean it sort of has links to Richey, friendship, growing up and the beginning of the band if you get my gist. Going from setlist.fm apart from a couple of international gigs it's not been played live since christmas 2007. Fingers crossed! |
My second random Manics thought of the night relates to the following article:
http://thequietus.com/articles/13264...y-track-review Regarding Anthem for a Lost Cause, does it say 'he (James) did all of that'? Do I take that to mean James played drums and bass, or am I just reading too much into things while tired? |

Don't want to make you all jealous, but I've just been to a meeting in Blackwood... :D

I had a slice of carrot cake in a cafe today. When it arrived, it was much bigger than I expected. I said.
'It's the biggest piece of carrot cake I've ever seen' then got 'Next Jet to Leave Moscow' firmly lodged in my brain. |
:D

EDIT: Never mind. Got it. Because of the "biggest living hypocrite" lyric, right? |
