What would be a Great MJ iintro?

I think the Ace Of Spades, when the little guitars jingles come in, they could go straight into Motown Junk.

Some others that could be good as intros:

Live and Let Die
Welcome To The JUNKgle

What do you think?

Mr Richey 14-11-2010 14:20

Surely that should be "Live and Let Junk" :P

Bobafettish 14-11-2010 18:35

James just saying "Revolution" over and over, mimicking the sample

or possibly doing The Beatles' Revolution as a homage to the original sample?

HampdenManic 15-11-2010 09:52

As an alternative to 'Baby Love', they should do a verse to 'Stoned Love' but instead of singing 'I prayed for peace - and love - Amen', JDB should go 'I prayed for peace and all I got was MOTOWN JUNK'.

Porco 15-11-2010 11:56

Sung over menacing palm-muted chords:

Neighbours
Everybody needs good neighbours
With a little understanding
You can find the perfect blend
That's when good neighbours
become... good... MOTOWN JUNK!

etc.

Taking star to motown...
Motown junkie...
Motown junk!

I'd love to see Screamager as a lead in, not too keen on the song but it'd flow easily enough.

mrdavidj 15-11-2010 15:23

The intro to Autumnsong...

Takk 15-11-2010 15:33

Lol, when they were singing jump on glee, I was wondering - why are they doing motown junk?

justinambulance 19-11-2010 15:47

Neighbours??

I laughed...when Paul Robinson got shot!

sculptureofabloke 04-03-2018 11:26

They already did: Miss Europa Disco Dancer.

Are we going to see Motown Junk performed live again? Sadly I suspect it's been quietly retired...

Hope it does come back... they were still doing it on the Futurology tour and it's worth remembering that almost every gig since then has been either an album + 10-12 songs, or a shorter festival set so there are less spaces to fill. Think we'll probably be looking at 22-23 song sets this time, 4-5 from Resistance Is Futile then whatever else, think Motown Junk is more likely for that set up?
