From an artistic perspective, I think losing Richey was the best thing that happened to them, for me at least. Almost everything I like about the band seems to be from the post-Richey years, and most of the imagery - and a lot of the music - around the Richey era doesn't appeal to me on any level. I think they became a much more interesting band after he left.

And although I should be evident, I'll confirm that obviously it was a horrible thing for everyone involved and I am in no way happy that the band lost such a close friend. But for me to become a fan, I think they had to go in the direction they did without him.

I don't like Sleepflower, You Love Us or Motown Junk. I prefer Repeat (Stars & Stripes) to Repeat (UK).
