I can imagine a change from the traditional 2 year single-album-tour-festivals cycle. One of the true rarities over the years is a Manics tour with no album attached, so that could be fun.
I've had 20 years of memories up til now, to the point that the band is basically like an old mate. The passion may not be what it was, but I'm always going to have that comfort blanket like feeling whenever I throw on their latest, or have a dig through the archives on Youtube. But honestly, they've had a sensational career and although there are debates about the live sound, the setlists and recent albums, I find it difficult to want much more from them at this point.
And so with little to prove, the answer to "what next" is whatever the hell they want really.
