Depends on what release you're talking about.

GT: The album was remixed to better suit the more guitar oriented audience that the label was targeting the MAnics at. SOunds a LOT better in my opinion. As I've stated in another thread, I find the UK version of You Love Us to be "un-fucking-listenable." The one on the US cd is insanely better. LBN, YLU, Slash And Burn, Love's Sweet Exile, etc. were all toyed with. Drums were beefed up, the album was actually made louder. And it had 5 tracks cut from it (and Democracy Coma was added, so it has 14 tracks): So Dead, Spectators Of Suicide, Methadone Pretty, Damn Dog, and Born TO End. It was really messed with. And the US LP was also one disc instead of two.

GATS: Ntohign was really doen with. Th only thing I can distinguish was the guitars a re a bit tinnier. I might be imagining that, though.

THB: Listen to the (better) US mix on the second disc of the 10h anniversary. I need not say anything else.

The rest of the albums that even GOT a US release? Nothing was realyl different, except for maybe the printing on the cds (look at the US EMG cd on theloveof.tk). FD was different because over here they released it with 2 cds as a standard release. None of this "Special Edition" riff raff.

But yeah, that's about it for the albums.

Singles, on the other hand, well...

Stay Beautiful was released as a single, and given the ep treatment: 5 tracks (Stay Beautiful, RP McMurphy, Starlover, Motown Junk and Sorrow 16, not in that order, but that's what they are.), and a different cover 'cause the one used in the UK was released but axed due to copyright reasons (somethign to do with the girl on the front I beleive 'cause they also had to take off the Ginsburg poem/s).

S&B: Only released as a promo single here.

Scream To A Sigh (LTD): Only released as a promo siongle here, notice the reversed name

Sleepflower: (I don't have it, but oh well) Released as a promo single here, with the same over as roses In The Hospital, but white, and it had three tracks which were the same as RITH, but Wrote For Luck was omitted, I believe.

Faster: Again, promo release only. Had the US mix of Faster and PCP on it, and it had 5 tracks total: The previously mentioned two, Stay With Me (from She Is Suffering cd1), RITH live, and YLU live (the previous two from Glastonbury. THey can also be foudn on Revol cd2, and the Japanese copies of THB). this one's pretty scarce.

ADFL: Again, a promo cd only. 1 track, blah blah blah. Waterfall picture for the cover.

Tolerate: A few different promos, one in a paper sleeve, the other in a jewel case. Same cover witht he jewel case as cd1.

Remixed: Just a collection of 9 of the remixes from the singles. Only released int he US.

YSTS: Jewel cased promo. Different cover art.

FTS: Jewel cased promo. Same art (but with white letters), paper square, no booklet (if that makes any sense)

and that's it. Interesting? Eh, I dunno. Btu it's something to type about.
