James' Plectrum

Hi all
Does James play with a Black Jim Dunlop 1mm plectrum??

The reason i ask is my mate was sure he threw one out during the recent Roundhose gig and saw more or less where it went.

While i was trying to get a set list he looked on the floor and amongst the confetti there was one on the floor.

I am now using it as my new favourite plectrum with my White Epiphone Custom, but alass it doesnt make me play as good.

Another one hit my feet at the roundhouse and yes - they are Jim Dunlop Nylons, 1.0mm Black. Same as I use, though I find myself using Delrin 500 2mm a lot now for faster stuff!

Cheers for that.
Better to me than a set list any day.

I remember my ex-COR girlfriend back in the day (late '94) having to decide to sleep with someone or not in return for "Richey's" plectrum.
She didn't in the end. Only because she couldn't prove it. And was discussing it right in front of me... Oh well, never again! Carry on!

Both, I should of explained it better. Seems to be a habit of mine. Although she did get around to listening to JFPL (She thought it was alright) when I got back in touch with her a few years later. The Manics are pretty much dead to her these days. She's got back into... THE LEVELLERS!!!

1mm seems like quite a thick plectrum. I dunno... I generally use 0.71mm or if I'm playing my 12-string a 0.46mm. 1.14mm or 2.0mm on bass.

#fascinating stuff from me there....

1.0mm feels like nothing once you start using 2's, but I can't believe I used to use ,73 (and below)... for electric work I think the harder the better but a little more flex is needed for acoustic

I spose you just end up playing what you feel comfy with. I do like the 0.71's! The one I use on the mandolin is like a piece of paper!

I used to use a green one - I can't remember what thickness it was. I got it from a Heavy Stereo gig...! *googles* looks like it was a 0.88mm.
