Ticketmaster have finally sorted my ticket out. I have to collect it from the box office instead of them posting it to Ireland. Why didn't they just let me do this in the first place?

No mention of the bastards refunding my £6 postage fee either.

Fuck it, I don't care.

Flying to Liverpool on Wednesday. I can look forward to it finally.

First one of the tour for me as well, really looking forward to it, seems like ages since I've seen them live. 'Twill be nice to see them again! I think I saw Placebo at this venue a few years back as well and from what I remember, it was a great place as it was only small.

Also looking forward to see what they put on the setlist for it..... *IHOE, IHOE, IHOE, IHOE*

WARNING: Do not be shouting the above out if anywhere near Lime St Station.....

As I may have mentioned before, I've seen 'em many times over the years (going back to '92), but never in my home town or the town where I have been living.

They last played Oxford in '91 (the year before I got there) and last played Liverpool in '05 (the year before I moved home). Every time I have seen them I have had to travel over night or stay overnight etc.

This Friday, I can step out of the flat at a reasonable hour after work, stroll into town, watch my favourite band play for a while, then, when the excitement is over, stroll home.

Life is good.

Decided to do this one as well as there was the offer of a ticket, never been to Liverpool before, I hope it's not as bad as the stereotypes.

Looking forward to it a lot now.

Flying out from Cork tomorrow and hitting the town hard tomorrow evening.

Regarding what Franny said; I've been to Liverpewwwwwl many times for the footie and I've never had a problem. It's like any big city, just mind your own business and you'll be grand.

Just a quick question re: the venue; is it easy to find? Do I just walk along Mount Pleasant until I see a sign or whatever?

If you're coming from Lime St it's probably quicker to walk up Brownlow Hill. For parking, probably better to go up Mount Pleasant. I admit that these directions may be eighteen years out of date.

Ok, I'll instigate! I'll set off around 5PM, should take me an hour to get there and I'll basically be standing as outside of the venue as I can, chain smoking and being patient. I can't drink anymore so I can't meet any of you in the bar.
My trusty leather jacket is getting it's zip replaced so I'll be there in my denium jacket the same tone as my jeans probably, being mocked by passers by. Just look for the beard and glasses I suppose.
At the worst we can nod and wave to each other at other ends of the venue?
Or should I set out a couple of hours earlier?

Cool. I'm having the zip replaced on my mouth, so will just have plain old flapping lips. I'll keep an eye out...

I really can't wait until Friday.
I finish work at 4, get home, get changed and hopefully have a night to remember forever.
My fingers are crossed for Roses In The Hospital and Stay Beautiful to stay on the setlist.
