ha ha, London isn't that bad and the transport is really good, it's almost impossible to get lost, just hop on the tube if you need to, don't worry about it.

truth be told, the tube never works properly!! But yeah, there are so many people around at all hours that it feels pretty safe!
I do understand how you feel though, so feel free to hook up with other FD'ers, I'm sure someone will be travelling your way! |

The tube works properly almost all the time, bar the odd strike or weekend engineering work.

Tube is brilliant as long as there aren't the problems mentioned above or the desicion not to stop at certain stations or the failure to run after 12.30.

Dunno, I was in London for 2 days and all I heard was 'service interruption.....' !
Otheriwise I love that you basically don't have to wait more than 5min even late at night! |

There was a security alert on the tube the day I arrived in London for these gigs last week. There was that "Can Inspector Sams please come to the reception desk" announcement (which is apparently a code word, as I've heard it in Leeds train station as well) followed by a further announcement telling everyone to leave Piccadilly Circus as quickly as possible. The tube train I was on just carried on going though, so I assume it can't have been anything serious
