Yeah it was an HMV.com exclusive I think, I don't think you could get the CD in the store with the deluxe edition. Or at least I don't know anyone who has.

The CD in the box set should also look different if it did indeed have a 'vinyl finish' because the HMV one didn't. I seem to recall seeing yet another TITD CD on the poster that came with the box that looked different from the HMV single and the promo and didn't have a vinyl finish, so that's another variant.
