Sort of, Eddie Argos' side project the Art Goblins, mentioned briefly in the first post. All I remember are the lines 'Don't want their socialist shite / On a Saturday night' and a repeated, knowingly juvenile group singalong coda of 'Nicky Wire can suck my cock!'

Or something. Oh and also... 'James Dean Bradfield / Looks like Cadfael', which I found surprisingly funny.

I came across this by accident today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxUS2h1ljQM

Manic Drive - Good News

Includes the line 'And all of the people gather around, like I'm a street preacher going out of my mind'

With 'Manic' in the band's name I presume this is no coincidence

The Wildhearts - 29x The Pain '96 has the line "So where you hiding Richey James?". The line replaced "I'm gonna miss Kurt Cobain" on the original 1994 recording.

Did James have a bit of Ms. Chisholm back in the day then?

The 90s must've been a fun time to be in a band, young and loaded.

James looks a bit like one of those 14 year old boys trying really hard to look cool in a badly-photoshopped picture of them with a supermodel.

I really like Art Brut but I didn't know about that. Fair point though, who does want to hear about socialism on a night out? Eddie Argos is probably like Pete Doherty and liked MSP when he was younger.

Also their single 'Born On The Fifth Of November' is about or perhaps more inspired by Richey in the wake of his disappearance.
