Nicky did an interview with his local paper in which he was reported to have said that he thought that "Margaret Thatcher wasn't that bad after all". He took the paper to court on libel charges and it was revealed the reporter had fabricated the quote. Nicky got a huge payout from the newspaper, bankrupting it.
It then turned out that he and the reporter had plotted all of this together in an elaborate money-making scheme.

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. For a while, still wanted by the government, they survived as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help... Well you are out of luck because they have since all had plastic surgery and are rumoured to be living as a successful but unnamed British rock band, so I don't know what to tell you, sorry.

Record Store Day 2017 will feature a limited edition, unplayable 27.5-inch vinyl of hit single Autumnsong, featuring exclusive packaging with artwork designed by Kirstie Allsop off Location Location Location, cleverly using dried-out leaves, discarded furniture and vibrant potato-printing to create a charming home-made feel.
The record itself will be an oval-shaped picture-disc featuring an image of the band meeting Mr. Blobby on the A-side, and a stark, politically provocative image of a radioactive kumquat being eaten by a giant squirrel on the reverse. Only 13 copies will be released to the public to purchase on the day (rumours another 5000 will magically turn up the week after to buy online cannot be confirmed at this time). It will cost £103.21. (+5p for a carrier bag).
