Maybe it was the the mysterious female backing singer seen in the video for Quarantine, she was never identified either. https://youtu.be/CBWPtNPcJSk

Sean confirmed on twitter last year he'd done backing vocals when someone asked. I asked him if he'd done others and he said loads but wasn't going to go in detail as he "couldn't remember" which.

Could have solved our mystery singer for both songs here....

I'm throwing a spanner...This is Nicky! But his voice is distorted/disguised. This sounds like a male voice not female...And there is a bit of an accent there so def not a French native speaker...and the fact no one is credited (other than the band)...Gotta be Nicky!

It's a lovely song. I think it's James and Nina Hoss, though it doesn't say on the album detail who it is.
