Somewhere in a box in my studio I have that issue… I'm sure there are scans online somewhere though!

Anyway, it's unarguably a great album.

Waking up this thread, does anyone have the actual from cover in hi resolution?

If there was ever an example of how reviews rarely translate into sales, it'd be this. It's nice to see just how many people 'got' the album even back then, despite the insufferable "it's not rawk enough" crowd's louder voice.

Were those reviews good though? They may have just quoted parts of them. The Q review was meant to be awful ...they didn't bother including its star rating.

Q called it "miserable and insipid."

Oh yeah, there's some disingenuous out-of-context stuff there, but most of those quotations are genuinely praising the album, and it's quite a large number of four-to-five star ratings.

Quote:
I remember the sub-headline on it being really dickish, something along the lines of "Remember when they used to be provicative?" Bear in mind this is the same magazine that gave Be Here Now a 5-star rating.

Well, they had to make up for things after they gave Morning Glory a 2/5 rating.

Even as a kid growing up with Q it was never a good barometer of music, more concerned with style than substance.
