Summer Wind is an old Frank Sinatra song isn't it? I've always suspected I Know the Numbers are James lyrics though, dunno why they just sound like James words more symbolic rather than straightforward.

Don't know that one! Always exciting finding a MSP song I've not heard before, it's as good as a brand new one.

Never heard it before. What a belter. By god has this man made a lot of good music. F-n b-sides to a solo album and they rock this hard.

I used to skip through ‘I think I found it’ and never gave it a chance for quite a while. Now i find it cathartic having been voyeuristic and empathic for all those/ these years

When I learnt the background of that song it changed it for me

James wrote a letter to a singer when he was young, expressing how much he meant to him and burnt the edges of the page to make it look all kind of weird like an old pirate map or something. The singer kept the letter and James met him years later and mentioned it and the singer remembered

“My message was burnt but your words were wise” or whatever the song says

This, hence the peculiar style of guitar in the song.
