"MAN REWIND THE FILM FUTUROLOGY" I intend to introduce as hipster slang for woah there a second etc.
So I have to get the shirt for that alone.

Did Amazon have any picture disc for sale or is it a placeholder?

The way James played guitar only on their recent This Is Yesterday performances with The Anchoress. That's seriously, really helped with Hiding In Plain Sight.
Hahaha you could see that sort of thing coming then if it's that hidden!
I'm confident the album will at least turn out an oscillation of "Not bad" to "URMF!! AAARGHH!!! THERE IS NO BETTER MUSIC THAN" etc things the band can still do.
Only thing is, what will those who didn't know This Is Yesterday? Let alone performed like that? What will they make of it?

Being less cynical... the new single's definitely giving me a few goosebumps, and D&F's grown on me a bit too having listened to the two tracks together on Spotify.
Thanks for the heads up. Grabbed a copy as well. Double CD for £22 and the picture disc (for the alternative artwork) on Amazon, and I'll order the red vinyl.

They did earlier today, out of stock now, but this has happened in the past and they’ve just put more available

Thought the new song sounds rather great actually and i was dreading listening to it after those early comments but it has a real effortless, breezy charm and the guitar sounds great. I could see this belonging on intimism. It's another nostalgia, looking back lyric but fine, i still think it sounds great and it's a ballsy move to have a nicky-fronted single. Down for that.

Then i saw the vid which elevated it to another level for me because it's about something and we almost get the return of the man in the salmon pink suit. Maybe i'm just starved for decent manics vids these days.

Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America,
and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach.
And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

I kinda outgrew ‘buying the same release on multiple formats’ a couple of decades ago now and the Manics bundles and endless reissues make me very glad I no longer have the inclination. So much money! If the digital age hadn’t made streaming so dominant I wouldn’t be able to afford or have the space for buying everything I enjoyed physically anymore, I’ve discovered so much else in recent years.
