Really regret not buying the 2009 Japanese Lifeblood remaster with GSTM and TBTGOD and b-sides.

Considering that this is probably the last re-issue (the Send Away The Tigers re-issue is very complete), I don't see these tracks being included in anything else or at best a spotify playlist.

I pre-ordered the Red Vinyl via HMV and got it for £28 including free postage using this discount code:

https://hmv.mention-me.com/m/ol/lp6qz-sean-harrison

The CD Box set was only £27.56 on Amazon including free postage.

I would have loved a singed LP and not an insert but it looks as though it's only available with the £110 + postage bundle via the official store.

God Save the Manics isn't on it - it's on the Japanese Lipstick Traces.

A little bit disappointed that CD is less comprehensive than the Japanese version as a result of the lack of TBTGOG tracks, I have a weird thing of hating having duplicates. Maybe I should try and find a copy of the Forever Delayed EP. Although that doesn't have the Saint Etienne remix on. Ahhh it's never easy.

As for future reissues, I wouldn't be surprised if we get something like a 25th anniversary GT, after this it and the Japanese Lipstick Traces will be the only Manics albums able to fit on my normal CD shelves.

The official store tat looks lovely but with p&p it is just too expensive.

Happy to order from HMV or rough trade and wait for the t-shirt etc.

Must say I am so glad there is no THB30 chat. And glad that this would seem to be the end of the reissues. Can't wait for new album and some shows and online stuff.

Long time no post.

Pleased to see the official announcement of Lb20 finally. All looks lovely. Personally going through hell at the moment ("a soul in pain" sounds about right), and the timing of this is hitting me emotionally in that way that the Manics seem to often do, with impeccable coincidence...

Even so (maybe therefore?!) to avoid further pain I am also eschewing the official store tat this time round (for now anyway) after they (or couriers) messed up my KYE20 order last time. HMV are usually good for me. I might relent to get a T-shirt later...

I can see more logic to Masses being brought into the KYE era and the main tracklist too, but TBGOG, FD and GSTM are all part of that transition in sound after KYE so they should be on LB CD set somewhere.

No doubt there was record company pressure for some new-ish content in the form of the remixes that edged some/all out. Plus a 4CD set would presumably be a no-no, cost-wise.

Porco! I'm delighted you're back! It has been a while. Hope you are able to overcome obstacles troubling you.
As for the order. The money's left my account. Good faith to be knocked down in time.

I'm still annoyed but I think I'll place the pre-order. Disk 3 is brilliant, although they could and should have put more on the second.
My favourite song is represented three times, so I am chuffed about that but there's no representation at all for Always/Never and no Empty Souls demo either. Lost or just recorded in the studio with no outtakes? Seems a bit weird. And why omit the Maida Vale version of TRP? Should have put the live stuff on disk 2 and added more demos on the third one. Greg Haver posted a photo of a CD-R from that era a while back of various outtakes from the sessions so more stuff is clearly out there.

Does anyone remember the Shoebox tat from the Postcards era? That was almost 14 years ago! A lifetime ago. Where have the years gone?

That was really nicely put together in retrospect (though that era seemed to usher in Nicky cosplaying as a teenage girl with the notepad, tshirt, sparkly mannequins and stuff, and the box has some of that aesthetic )

At the time I just remember how much £110 or whatever it was felt.

After reading my post in the GATS box thread. I was reminded how it was one of the things I was looking forward to in lockdown.
I'm still looking forward to the Lifeblood thing. It's nice to have something coming without a world ending sword hanging over us.
Let's see how that last sentence ages as the year passes!

Cosplaying a teenage girl - laughed out loud at that, too true. He must have bought a shop's worth of heart stickers and glittery tat in 2010.

Could the lack of GSTM be because they don't want to remind people about using Richey lyrics on Picturesque?
