I wanted a Patrick Jones video of grainy super-8's of UK bridges, edited together with Windows Movie Maker and spliced with rehearsal footage

If it's not about richey conciously, he's doing a very poor job of it .

The song is good, quite menacing at the start before it explodes into full-blown poppy rock. The chorus is really catchy.
The video is excellent- great story, great attention to detail, great camera angles and pacing, great acting. Very interesting and well thought out. Someone said they found the video unintentionally funny- personally, I donīt find it funny at all. If anything, it makes you feel great compassion towards the main character.
I wonder whether it was difficult to obtain the permission to film at Tempelhof, especially inside of the aircraft hangars? I know the airport is closed but still.

Half the video was shot in Wales, guess it was the aircraft hangar scenes with the band and the slightly odd "HELLO?!?!?!?!!!!!11ONE" bit at the end.

Anyone else think that German bird looks a little like Berlin era Bowie? Am I reading too much into this?

Also note the British fire hydrant signage towards the end - I don't think they have them in Germany(?)

Don't worry, if Europa's released as a single we can have that (with the bridge bits replaced by German roads or something).

I would be inclined to agree. He's in there somewhere

I wouldn't call the video *stunning* as gigwise have. It's GOOD.. tells a story that keeps you watching and listening to the song rather than just a bland band performance video.

The girl has a bit of an odd run tho'.. might be because she was made to run very short distances and never got past much of a jog, but she looks a bit wonky when she's running

Has anyone mentioned the potential reference to Richey in the video with the love/hate being written on the hands of one of the characters.

I think Lola would beat her in a race, every time. I just hope it's not Manni in the box at the end, Se7en style.

After a week away from the song I like it more. My official opinion is that the chorus is brilliant but the verses are forgettable and clumsy.
