I hope they do a small 2nd leg and opt for the Forum. I have to agree that the MSP still tend to ignore certain LPs and maybe one day will let go of their predictable Singles Set List's barring new LP tours.

Bit late to the thread, mostly because two gigs in a week has knackered me out!

I think I enjoyed this one more than Llandudno, as the crowd seemed livelier, even if it wasn't close to being sold out. I agree the choice of venues/timing of gigs this year will have been dictated by whatever was available though, as there must still be quite a backlog of tours to get through from the last couple of years.

I was kinda hoping they might have changed things up a bit from Llandudno, even if it was just swapping in Last Christmas in the acoustic slot, but guess James wasn't in the festive spirit Although I must confess I'm later than usual on that front and haven't put the tree up yet.

A good night overall though and nice to see the streamers and confetti back at the end, even if I did nearly choke on it during ADFL

I made the mistake of looking at the crowd when the lesser known songs were being played - anything of TUVL, and Loves Sweet Exile

Ignore certain LPs? They pretty much ignored two decades of their existence! With the exception of YLAINE nothing else was played from the period of 2000-2020.

Generally if they do go on a second leg of a tour they dip slightly more into the rarities, fingered crossed for some more shows in the new year.

Great stuff! I was chuffed to see the streamers too,but was worried that they were hanging off the lighting rig and were going to catch light and get the gig called off!

Thank you! That never crossed my mind about the streamers, I just found it amusing that so many were left hanging from the ceiling like some giant tentacled creature hanging above us

I was very tempted to pick up a streamer from the floor as they were just out of reach of me when they fell! However I decided to make do with the many bits of confetti that I was basically wearing by the end

I've only seen them now 4 times in the last 10 yrs and & 2 of those were LP anniversaries. I missed the RTF Tour due to injury sadly.

I would love to see James do a small mini tour of his 2nd solo LP as I found it to be very good, plus he could make up the rest from TGW/covers. That might be too ambitious though.

Dream On lol

Corona robbed us of that EIE tour. I’d go to that - a JDB solo show to a few hundred people
