I think someone's gonna get sacked soon because I've just been watching the Pinkpop set and during Postcards (and maybe also in a couple of others) the strings are badly out of sync - listen out for the bit where the strings stand out at the end of the chorus... OUCH!

What a predictable pair to show on TV - jarred badly with my reading of the REPEAT book this weekend. Nick looked fab, though, I like that jacket much more than some of his others.

And after thanking the crowd for being "fuckin' mega" @ManicsPostcards end their set & #iowfest with Design For Life

Nicky's had a costume change - check out that leopard print! #iowfest http://lockerz.com/s/110185953

James just did a stunning solo acoustic version of The Everlasting @ManicsPostcards #iowfest

Just got back to our camper van after tonight's performance. They seemed thrilled with the crowd reception, particularly as they were up against Kasabian and the awful weather. Tent was virtually full by the fourth or fifth song. Lots of drunk/high middle aged/classed couples singing along to the popular tracks and texting or taking photos of each other in the crowd during the newer stuff. Crowd were singing for more so I thought there might be an encore but alas...

They sang 'Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head'.
Not seen the current setlist they are playing to but they did 'Autumn Song', which surprised me.
James mentioned Johnny Rotten (PiL were on before MSP) and asked the crowd if he'd slagged off the Manics or mentioned the Royal Family. Answer to both was no, so James said something like the Royal Family can go fuck themselves.
Nicky said Richie would love the Isle of Wight.

this is sweet.

I'm suprised after over 20 years people still expect encores after Manics gigs...
