Futurology was the album that got me back into the band after the 2007-2010 stuff pushed them into "has-beens rehashing their past" territory for me. I'd definitely welcome an extension of the direction it and Lifeblood hinted at.
That said, a mix of straight-up Manics with some weirder stuff in the second half would work just as well for me - I think RiF might have crept into my Manics top 5, so as long as there's good songs and at least some originality in the arrangements I'll be happy.

The second half of RiF (much like the second half of KYE) has some great guitar tracks. Hope there is some weird stuff on the new album as well.

I'm guessing single today album announced for September/October and tour announced tomorrow.

I'm also going to have a guess at The Ultraviolet Light for the album title...
