The entire show? Wow, first I've seen of that, thought it was several songs short (see below). Nice one.

Interesting, yeah the tracklistings don't show the whole show. Given their penchant for fucking up, I wonder which is right .

I doubt it'll be the whole thing. The first e-mail about the box set sent said the Astoria are from Richey's final concert when it's actually the night before.

Really enjoyed that. Very playful. Only the Manics could reference the Holocaust and dodgy SKY boxes in a half hour interview.

I thought it was put together really well. I'm not a massive fan of John Wilson but really enjoyed this show. It's strange, there were a couple of questions here that I could swear I don't remember from being there!

I can understand that they may have been blocking out Richeys problems at the time. But previously they say he was drinking and crying often through the day when they were recording the album. Then they say here he was in a happy place at that time. I guess a persons idea of 'happy place' is subjective

I guess it may well be that their perspective has changed since then, and that accounts for the discrepancy in the accounts? In the past, when the memory of the time was still more fresh in their minds, they would remember Richey's troubles more sharply, maybe? Whereas now that more time has passed they have become more nostalgic - maybe they are starting to believe their own myth even!

Interesting details on who wrote individual lines in Faster and This Is Yesterday. " I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else" was Nicky's and "Why do anything when you can forget everything" was Richey's

Do you have the interview where they say he was crying? I'd be interested to see it, I don't remember that. But anyway, it's possible both happened at different times - no particular reason to think he couldn't have been both at different times, and I don't blame them for remembering the happy part.
