The synth orchestral sweeping sounds so beautiful in the chorus. It was always there. But now it's really there.
And yes, I too sing "And when the ghosts fuck you" myself. Another thing you can't unhear!

To Repel Ghosts was always my favourite on Lifeblood and I never thought it would ever require a remaster, I loved the spacious guitars, the background drones and the wall of sound during the chorus. Sounds magical here though, the clarity is definitely noticeable.

Definite extra clarity to the best track on the album, encouraging that it's really going to add something to the re-release.

Very exciting news! I haven't heard the extra Japanese tracks*. I was happy to wait until April. But full video "continued" tomorrow. Might be a full length video of it.
*Or the DVD b-sides for that matter.

I'm still ever so slightly expecting the whole GSTM EP to be hidden tracks.

I have a fairly good memory of the build up to this album. Firefight was definitely a song listed in the pre release press as a track they were working on.

Goodbye Suicide was only ever mentioned as a possible album title, alongside Lifeblood and "Blueprint for Exile". So I am fairly confident it didn't exist in any song form at that point. I suspect Nicky Wire later took the title for a song for his solo album a couple of years later. He also released an downloadable pdf of (rather poor) poetry around the same time called Blueprint for Exile.

thanks for the info. blueprint for exile, litany and the unwritten diaries were working titles. but didn't know of goodbye suicide - but it kind of fits.
would love to get my hands on that pdf, if anyone has a copy - please let me know.

Litany should have been the title and should have been on the album. GREAT song.
