Agree with the SIP comments, time for it to go. Wouldn't mind them ditching YLAINE too

Cab driver in Llandudno just took great delight in telling me he had Micky Wright, Stereophonics guitarist, in his cab yesterday. Looked mortified when I asked if he meant Nicky Wire, Manics bassist :-/

I thought they might play A Billion Balconies... on this tour after doing it at the London dates. I'd swap SKON for Golden Platitudes.

You lot are hard to please! Anyways, this was my 11th gig with the boys since 99, I skipped the main PFAYM tour as I wasn't keen on the last record at all. Great setlist and a solid performance, SSI didn't really get much of a reaction, but hardly surprising seen as they don't ever play those songs. I also noticed that with the exception of You Love Us the songs are half a breath slower since the last couple of tours, which is understandable, you shoot with the boots you have on! EDIT: Joy Formiddable sounded massive and were probably the best support I've seen for MSP over the years.

Wire has posted a short stage side clip if anyone has missed it.

A few personal notes, no thanks to the guy who seemed intent on not letting me get down the front, even when I asked politely he tried to stop me getting through for no apparent reason. I reminded him he was at the front of a gig and barged past him eventually. Fucker.

Secondly, girl in the gold sparkly top with boyfriend? Awesome energy, jumping around like mentalists (even to slower/acoustic songs) and generally causing a ruckus down the front which was enjoyable to get involved in. Always great to see people with passion for the band (and looking a bit more fresh faced than some of us ) Generally I thought the crowd was a little quiet, but perhaps this is radio 2 fans kicking in and being quite a presence in the crowd compared to even 4/5 years ago.

Loved a couple of the flourishes, James mega extended Tolerate solo was brilliant, the little AC/DC nod, the "second album is a category in itself" before LBAL and several other funny moments. My only setlist ask was that despite the 10 previous gig's I have not heard Enola/Alone live which I finally ticked off the list after 12 years! Stay Beautiful as an opener, plus My Little Empire, Life Becoming a Landslide were all big highlights. Motown Junk sounded brilliant too.

A really good night overall, thanks again MSP!

Amazing day, lovely to speak and play twister with everyone. A few right characters in the queue to be sure. Lovely venue and lovely beach made the day very enjoyable. Joy Formidable blew me away again, simply superb, such a great support and got their drumstick. Manics were on excellent form as per usual, great to hear so many songs I'd never heard before, SSI was my personal favourite jsut for the surprise, LBAL and OWA sounding great too, MLE still gets me, I hope that stays a lot longer, acoustic EMG pisses over the band version. SIP getting dull but we've found that an epic headbang makes it all worth it, James on top form, really entertaining, Wire less so, annoyed we didn't get Marlon JD. Great night, annoyed I didn't get to meet them thanks to certain roomates.

They decided we were going to the pub and as they had the keycard I had little choice to follow rather than remaining backstage, most peturbing, I forgive em though.

Are you also eagerly awaiting Dan the haircut and wine man posting?
