Not directly about the Manics, the BBC One Show has a bit about Paul Robeson and his connection to the Welsh miners - about 10 minutes into tonight's episode. They play a bit of Paul's Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel.

Love of Richard Nixon was a question on this morning's Popmaster in Radio 2, they even played a clip. It's probably the first time I've heard that song on the radio since its first play on Radio 1 13 years ago!

I would be hoping against hope for a Manics 3 in 10! My best score overall is about 15 though, and that was with two bonus questions, so I don't think I'll be trying to get on the radio any time soon!

Motown Junk got a brief play on Only Connect a few weeks back during the music round.
I was much pleased....not only owing to the brief burst of Motown Junk on the telly but cos I knew the other songs too....an achievement....though I still failed to make the connection - 'towns' I forgot about it till now. Making it a random thought too (I thought Chris Packham was going to throw in another quick reference last night to From Despair to.....Desire. Nearly. Half a reference)

Don't know if this counts but I spotted a Know Your Enemy poster in this weeks episode of Josh on iPlayer.

Rachel Edwards was interviewed on ITV's Lorraine this morning. She mentioned that tomorrow would be Richey's 50th birthday.
