Ok, I'll repeat myself too if you like, the only physical release which is announced is the album. We don't know what they are planning.

Like I might plan on eating some sweets in a minute, but you don't know what they are, because I haven't announced it.

Sony has messed the campaign up and now they literally don't know what they're doing.

EGDM might be coming out soon, it might not. They're in damage limitation mode and making it up as they go along.

It certainly does not mean Europa: by me, what ever google claims.
It could mean:
Europe Goes through me (which, in German, makes you think of food passing your digestive system)
Europe Passes through me (ditto)
I guess they meant something like "Europe permeates me"? Like entering and becoming part of you?
Europa works through me (in the sense of running/functioning) might be imagined, but would be very clunky German and is not likely I guess.
Before knowing and liking the song, I referred to it as "the diarrhea song" based on the title.

well...ok...I'll try to be more specific.
Of course I don't know what's in their heads. But...
at the moment the only planned Manics physical release with Sony Music is the album.

if you're expecting for example 7" vinyl single before the album release, then considering vinyl production leadtimes at the moment you can simply forget about that even if they come with a plan of eating sweets right now.

and this is the last explanation from me, either you find it useful or not

Explained perfectly! "diarrhea song" solves it all: Another political song. It's about suffering that European bacillus. The cure comes in "Dreaming a City - Hughesovka" - Donetsk is Welsh!

Yeah, that's basically all I was saying. None of us know. Unless any of us do know, and haven't told that we know!

This is wild speculation, but could it be to do with the line about gohsts or spectors or whatever? Like a physical thing ( europe ) passing through a gohst of somone or somthing?

Be mindful of literal translations. Many of the best translators embodied the spirit of what was being said, and not every single word. In its proper context, the Manics' translation makes sense.

Europe passes through me? Or do you refer to the German phrase when you speak of "the Manics translation"?
Of course I can't say what the Manics actually meant, I can only point out that the phrase sounds weird in German and does not readily make sense to a native speaker.

I don't have the lyrics at hand, so unfortunately I can't help there. All I remember is the line "Geister wie zerstörter Schlaf" - literally "Ghosts like destroyed (broken?) sleep" and then something about something she left behind. Intriguing idea, though.

I don't know any german and don't have the songs lyrics to hand but maybe the phrase just fits the song. La tristesse durera can be translated to the sadness will last but in the song towards the end he sings *the sadness will never go away* .. means roughly the same but sounds much better

Totally agree about Tristesse!
The German part seems to be about movement, escaping something and, beautifully "running further away from life" (Renne weiter weg vom Leben).
But WHO translated the lyric for the Manics? The German is too good to be by them, grammatically and stylistically.
