I think there's an element of drama in that video.They seem to film the crossing lights with James being anxious and followed in Berlin and it seems like he's escaped in the lift at the end. It looks like a video that's meant to be more staged perhaps? I think it might be from The Great Western album tour. Thom Yorke did a video with quite a similar meaning on their recent album.

It's from an EPK DVD for The Great Western, it contains the clips you see of James walking around Berlin, later on the disc he is interviewed about each of the songs.
The footage was probably meant to be cut/pasted/mixed up as needed for various TV promotions.

Ok thanks, that's interesting to know.

I really like the footage. I think it would be good if the Manics did a film like that for a dvd of RIF and the tour.

Yeah that Radio 1 session is excellent, and you're right: it was an excellent time to be a Manics fan. if only they had gone straight from Lifeblood onto Rewind the Film.
