Which era contained Nicky's best vocals...ummmm...how 'bout none?

I know some people absolutely adore the man and he quite frankly can do no wrong, but really, vocals? I find it hard to imagine how anyone could actually enjoy his singing or at least his attempts at it. And no, he doesn't sound like Lou Reed so please don't go there!

I'll give him one thing though, he does do a mean spoken word - sounds lovely with his Welsh accent.

My Little Empire and William's are the only vocals he should ever have recorded. They're the only ones which have any real merit / logic to them being recorded in the first place.

The backing vocals on Roses have a bit of comedy value if you can get a hifi system with a karaoke function like the one I used to have.

Beats the cringe value of the vocals on his solo album.

I heard the backing vocals on Roses were Sean... Do you think it was Nicky?

What about SATT b-sides (Lady Lazarus, The Long Goodbye)? I love to listen to Nicky's singing no matter how wrong it can get.

It's totally Nicky (aledgedly Richey too, but I don't buy that). I actually like Nicky's backing vocals...provides an interesting contrast to James' singing style. You see, I don't completely hate his voice, I'm just not in favour of him ever taking the lead.

Twas a difficult choice but went for WLW though I really love failure bound, it's not so much singing as speaking and it's just a song played backwards but it's glorious.

Yes, he forgot to mention these, and The Long Goodbye is the best Nicky-sung Manics song, IMHO.
But there isn's this choice, so...WLW.
