That photo reminds me of the well-known* limerick...
A Manics fan, let's call him 'Lionel' Saw albums in the clouds, a whole sky-full He walked off a roof Thinking 'This Is My Truth...' And his head had turned into the vinyl *'well-known' in the loosest sense, i.e. not at all.

I don't buy vinyl, but is £19.99 really the going rate? Seems even more extortionate than the prices of CDs in the 1990s.

I dont get the point of these reissues without the original inners and everything

Eh, mid 90s to mid 00s original pressing vinyls are rare. Would love to know more about the numbers, I bet the original Forever Delayed and Lifeblood vinyls are rarer than the limited edition Generation Terrorists picture disc.. probably more copies of the RSD Holy Bible than the original. So think these reissues are welcome sometimes, no idea about the inners of this one but it was only a couple of years ago that there was a repressing anyway, weird.

Hasn't this been reissued already by Music on Vinyl?

Wonder if Gold Against The Soul or Lifeblood are going to get this treatment any time soon. Journal still seems to be well available.

Doubt it very much. These are just a money grab to be honest.

Does this new vinyl release have lyrics/art/booklet?

I would absolutely love for them to bring out a 20th anniversary re-issue of Truth. It was the first Manics album I ever bought/first tour etc. I would imagine that commercially there is mileage in bringing it out given how popular and successful it was at the time. They could really make some beautiful box art work a bit like the promo box that came out as well. There must be loads of footage, rough demos, pictures etc stored in the archives (would love to hear the faster version of Tsunami). Maybe bundle in Leaving the 20th Century in on DVD?
I'd buy it! |

Still, plenty of stuff to include in the box set. Think the Holy Bible and Everything Must Go 20th anniversaries could've been better had the 10ths not been released, so Truth has that going for it. None of the demos have seen the light of day yet, there's the cassette b-sides that haven't had UK cd release and the Dutch Everlasting live tracks. I've loved the documentaries included in the last few reissues, I'd be happy if it included summat like that Close Up documentary, but if they went and made a new one reflecting on the period 20 years on I'd love that. I'll be surprised if Tolerate doesn't get the RSD treatment that Design and Your Love Alone have had last couple of years.
