All i can think of when reading descriptions of the album is Public Image Ltd. No bad thing that, not many bands have really followed on from them so to hear the Manics doing something along those lines would be great.

Would be nice if they did just release the album at random, like MBV. Also would be good if they came out on the new tour dressed to suit the record and started by playing loads of tracks from it. Like they were a new band, doubt it'll happen though.

This. If they continue in the same vein as for the last album - "too old to be in a rock band, bored with ourselves, we sleep in the studio to escape nappy duties" etc. and dress like pensioners (except for Sean, the only Manic with some attitude left) they are gonna crash this against the wall. Surely I am not the only person who's consequently given up on then 95%. So have they, apparently.
(The remaining 5% is for the occasional brilliant gig moment.)
