Not a fan of Green's voice at all. Shame really, it'd have been fine with James, or even Nicky singing.

I'm not one of these people opposed to guest vocalists, but this one just doesn't work for me.

Still sounds to me like James sings 'sheer desperation' not 'shared desperation' (as per the official printed lyrics) in both the demo and finished version, anyone else agree/disagree?

I thought he was singing "shit desperation".

A great summery song. I'd love for it to be a single. It would translate so damn well on radio.

Something about it clicked I the car today. I got the meaning and went along with it. Suddenly those horrible vocals don't seem so bad anymore

I think I'll get used to Gartsides vocals on this very quickly. The whole album is just fabulous!

I actually like Scritti Politti and this song is one of my favorites on the album.

Also a current favorite off the album.

The melody reminds me a bit of Len's "Steal My Sunshine" though.

I hate this song. Only song on the album I think is less than OK. I hate hate hate the guest vocals. If it were just the bits with JDB it would be brilliant.

Well then listen to the demo. The demo with Jimbo singing it is magic.

Ok song with kickass bass line but guest vocals is unnecessary ... I'm not fond of guest vocals at all. Your Love Alone and Black Holes For the Young are the only exclusions.
