I was thinking that, I wasn't impressed with the first Suede best of, bu the new one seems like there has been a bit of actual thought put into the tracklisting.

Prefer a live DVD myself with live versions of pretty much every song they've ever done from gigs,TV shows to festivals. And maybe record a new full gigto go with it.

Genuine YES!

A 2 CD non-b side compilation would be best. Most singles and the album tracks that are loved by the band or something.

If they had a 3 CD set then the third CD should hold 20 or so non-Lipstick Traces B-sides.

The band disagreed a lot over the tracklisting of the first one so they just released a 'singles' disc with, well, just singles! And lets face it after coming up they went a bit south... But the new one is their favourite songs so therefore is better!

I'd love to see Manics bring out a best of like Blur's Midlife or the new Suede one. Just looked at setlists for the last time I saw Blur, Suede and Manics. Blur played 8 songs that weren't singles, Suede did 8 and Manics did 4 while two of em are still contenders to be singles... In a way, PPF tour felt more like a best of tour than FD. I'd love to see them do something like that again, pushing towards 8 or 9 tracks that weren't singles.

Is this just going to turn into another post you favourite tracks for a compilation, because we have a lot of those threads already...?

I think it will probably go quiet around Summer time next year for the Manic Street Preachers, unless they play a few Festival slots. We might just hear about a new compilation album around August-December 2011. It could be a Greatest Hits/Best Of sort of compilation I would assume, if we're lucky a nice little DVD. I think the compilation this time will probably consist of the stonebonker Manics favourites with the additions of Stay Beautiful, Roses In The Hospital and the Singles since Lifeblood. As for after that, I don't know, I have a feeling we probablty won't hear a new studio effort until Spring/Summer 2013. I just feel they may have a little break after the golden period.

Meh, the band are in good form at the moment. They have made their two best albums of the last 13 or so years in the last year and a half. New album please, a best of album doesn't interest me. We already have all the songs and all their gigs are best of sets anyway.

I would love a new dvd though

3 Empty Souls
4 Jackies Collins
5 Postcards From A Young Man*
6 Umbrella
7 She Is Suffering
8 Stay Beautiful
9 Indian Summer
10 The Love Of Richard Nixon
11 Autumnsong
12 Slash N Burn
13 Let Robeson Sing
14 Ocean Spray
15 Roses In The Hospital
16 Found That Soul
17 Life Becoming A Landslide
18 Some Kind Of Nothingness

plus two new songs.

Echoing what Tim said this is moving dangerously close to compiling our own best ofs. I don't think we'll see a best of until after the next album anyway, they'll want to see how long this golden period can last before they need to capitalise on past success.
