Jackie Collins' Existential Question Time got a few festival outings in 2015, but yeah, pretty much forgotten about.

yes, i'm actually happy for a lifeblood reissue but somewhat inherently against that sort of milking old stuff. i enjoy it very much and i guess it's a very manics thing to do.
don't believe james gives a fuck about a reissue of great western, it's nicky and money that make those things happen. would be cool to have all the demos of IKTZ. everything fades and i killed the zeitgeist are the ones i got as demos.

Seeing as they have a penchant on mixing up the reissue album list, reckon they'd swap an album track with a B-side for a new album tracklisting?

Obviously as per the set, i'm thinking the full album, B-sides and God Save the Manics EP as part of it - I reckon they could chuck a couple of demos in there, maybe a forgotten track a-la 'Rosebud' and could even throw in the live session tracks from the Lamacq session they did too - but I guess that could push it too far.

I would also love to hear some of the recorded live stuff from the arena tour, that version of 'Motown Junk' with I think the second verse screamed by Nicky from the reschedule Cardiff show - and that's before we get to the Past/Present/Future versions too.

My personal wish is high quality versions of Endless Plain of Fortune and Red Sleeping Beauty James played on BBC6 but I think that's a long shot.

I reckon that'll be saved for the "Live at the BBC" set that'll hopefully come out one day, but yes, agreed!

Wasn't that... That orchestral acoustic reworking of FASTER a year earlier than Lifeblood?
*Wafts arms
No! Go away Acoustic Classical version of Faster! This is the Lifeblood box! You can't come in! Your kind belongs to a different era

I'd personally add All Alone Here to the album but I don't think they've ever mentioned it.

I'd love to know if any of the 'Cities' album exists in demo form but that is probably being too hopeful. The Visconti story, God Save The Manics, The Soulmates & Antarctic and some extra demos (beyond those we already got in the Patrick Jones videos) will probably be the most we can hope for.

Because the original from JFPL included a demo version.

It could be similar to the Japanese version of Lifeblood, which was 2CDs and had all of the b-sides from around that time on. One of my favourite ever Manics purchases that one, even if it did cost a packet to get it through customs!

1985, Empty Souls (IOW version), Song for Departure, To Repel Ghosts, Solitude and Cardiff Afterlife all still sound great. Not choosing 1985 as the lead off single still remains one of their worst decisions.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see TLORN axed and Litany make its way on, spun as the original vision.

Looking forward to this reissue. It’s such a great era for b sides, there’s easily a second album there with the God Save The Manics stuff.

Wasn’t there supposed to have been an original version of the album without any guitars?

It's a fair point about the FD era. Hasn't Dave Eringa mentioned a 'heavier' mix of TBTGOG that he liked that didn't get used ?

Great news! I love reissues and KYE was the best I've ever seen. Lifeblood is their best b-sides era. Hope to see most of the Japanese reissue second CD given full mixes.
