Love that song! An album of 'Morning Comrades' and '1404's' would be excellent!

I like Morning Comrades but not a whole album of it. I think it'll sound like Door To The River which was gorgeous

Once it's natural and not forced - like a lot of Send Away The Tigers and Postcards was - it could be great. Basically once they make the album they want to make and not the album that they think they should make, it should be fine.

Hear hear Gutless! Cracking songs, could throw a bit of To See A Friend In Tears in there too.

Absolutely. I really hope they've learned this lesson now. It was 'one last shot at mass communication', right? So now they can do what they want. PLEASE, MANICS.

The way I read this is that there'd be a quick follow up electric disc. Wouldn't be surprised if they come out at the same time.

I'd be very happy with a collection along the lines of "Black Dog…", "Baby Elian", "Facing Page:Top Left", "This Joke Sport…", "Door To The River", "The Everlasting" etc… I think to much emphasis could be placed on the "Acoustic" element. I hope it is stripped back compared to what they've delivered before, but not wholly acoustic, just mellow.

I am really excited by this, and the Richard Hawley duet. I'd like to see a couple of intimate acoustic style gigs maybe in theatres just for something a bit different and then they follow up after christmas with the spikey full force germanic rock record!

I'd imagine they may go down the route of so why so sad/found that soul and release both albums either on same day or 2-3 months apart.

I love 1404 too. When you think about all the acoustic tracks that have been done before I think this could be truely beautiful. Looking foward to this; and the second album too.

Definitely agree with this. What we've heard about the new album so far fills me with more hope than in the build-up to Postcards, so I'm quite looking forward to this actually.

I prefer Nicky's acoustic version to the final album version by a mile

Me too. I don't think the 'Marlon JD' one works - needed the aggression of the final version and the James vocal. But '...Bath Of Bleach' is perfect. That's what Nicky is best at, vocally, and he should showcase it.

Songs like "Too Cold Here" and "Morning Comrades" number among my favorite Manics tracks. Hopefully they will be doing some acoustic with a bit of edge.
