I don't really hear it. They've done the rip-off game before though, ask any Kraftwerk fan

I would like to hear Manics album produced by Eno. I don't understand James criticizing him.
about Coldplay, I think Nicky softened a bit circa Viva la vida, yes he criticized Yes and military uniforms but he also said something like 'at least they put some effort, and not to many bands do it nowadays (except us)' or something like that. agreed with the comment about the simplification of the riffs though

He didn't even criticise 'Yes', or the uniforms, if my memory serves me correctly. He just remarked that 'Yes' was another comparison with THB along with the band wearing uniforms, and the band wearing uniforms was part of the reason he recognised that they were making some effort.

I like Coldplay** (listening to this song as I type), and I don't hear anything similar in it.
** let's just add it to the pile of disagreements Wire and I would have and leave it at that

Well I guess it sounds kinda a bit similar-ish. I'm listening to Rihanna-Coldplay song now, i guess it's alright. But I won't die if I never hear it again, you know.
