His WLW vocals are amazing, TFHBH4E is O.K., and love his backing vocals. But Bangkok Novotel is questionable, and he ruins Wattsville Blues...

I'd prefer it if he didn't sing to be honest.

The Long Goodbye also works well with Nicky singing I think (as does Dying Breeds).

I'm generally for him singing (if he keeps working at it and being given the appropriate songs) but I fail to see what's pleasant about his vocals on Dying Breeds.

I voted for "ok in small doses." Normally I'm not a fan, but I do really like the JFPL demos where he does the vocals.

I find at time Nicky's voice reminds me of Ray McGinley from Teenage Fanclub.

I have a feeling Nicky would probably be well out of his depth on '120 Minutes' or even 'Your Love Is The Place Where I Come From'.

I will point out I meant it in the most distant possible fashion.

SKON demo just seemed to strike a chord.

To me he sounds a bit like Mark E. Smith's evil cousin.

Just heard his demo of It's Not War for the first time - the way he sings the chorus is fantastic.

He's more like every indie kid teenager who sings in their bedroom, thinks they're a brilliant vocalist, gets really into it, but has no idea that they're bordering on tone deaf.

He should have stuck to the MLE backing vocals and occasional shouting of 'control!' at gigs.
