Was reminded about this the other day when a friend told me. I like the previous stuff so will probably have a listen. Anyway it has contributions by JDB so it would be rude not to.

GWENT THEATRE
‘A LAMENT FOR MOTHS’ by Patrick Jones
Music by James Dean Bradfield
Told through the eyes of a child who takes us on a journey of his life, our world, the play looks at what or who creates violence and its effect on young people. It is a play concerned with responsibility, with the consequences of actions, with how we relate to one another, with the world we have created, with our fear and destruction of nature and ultimately about how we find peace in unity and make safer relationships in a world bent on war. It is an exploration of masculinity and what it is to be a male in today’s culture.

Oh for f*cks sake.

Why am I *always* in uni when he is in town? Incidently, around the time of TGW, JDB promised to play Abergavenny. Did he? Did he squirrels.

Have just placed my order for the CD, £9 for it delivered and signed (i hope - or so it says!), is very very reasonable!

Will be interesting to hear. Not that there will be much chance, as JFPL is on constant repeat at the mo, and will be for quite some time i would imagine! But thats cool, 4 whole Manics related tracks! Thats more than Comemoration & Amnesia (I think that was what it was called!!) had on it!!

CD arrived today, about 4 or 5 days before the official release.

Right, the manics related songs are all quite short.

Saplow is about 2.41 with music written by Nicky, reminds a lot of Marlon JD.

Revelation is actually Shut The Door which was previously available on the official site to the play of the same name.

In Absentia (1.58) and 11/11/11 (1.29) are both pretty low key musically. All words are read by Patrick Jones, except on Revelation which I think is James singing.

Overall it's pretty much the same as the first CD, I think i prefer James' music on the C&A. The stand out tracks for me so far has to be Saplow and Mankind with Amy Wadge (who also sings).

The CD is also signed by Patrick Jones on the inside, it says; 'To John, love, Patrick Jones - To hold the other in you'

I don't know if this is old news, but Patrick says he is supporting Billy Bragg on his next tour.

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/showbiz...1466-23692936/

He should be fine as long as no one mentions toilets or his brother's rant.

Yeah, i meant to post this yesterday, my CD arrived yesterday, wasn't expecting it till Monday!! And personally sighned to me as well - not JUST a signiture like on JFPL special edition!!! Thanks Patrick!

I'm really enjoying it! And its making a pleasant change from JFPL, cos thats the ONLY other thing that i'm listening to at the moment.

Nice one Patrick, i've only had a couple of listens, but in my opinion - the boy done good!!

After one full listen, I'm finding the album excellent. Better than Commemoration & Amnesia and braver than JFPL.

His delivery on For I Am In You, You Are In Me and We Are Us might be fantastic and funny for the most part but lines like "I... suck labia through pink panties like a lesbian lover" and "your volvic vulva of Shelleyan verse" are a bit much. Not really the kind of CD I'll be lending to any female friends. Maybe have a wank BEFORE NOT DURING writing next time, Patrick?

But to repeat, overall it's genuinely excellent.

I spoke to him after his show at Hay on Wye a couple of days ago. He said the Jackie Collins video wasn't his

And my favourite line from the event - when sharing a stage with two welsh-language writers - "there's so much shit art that gets produced because it's in Welsh - it needs some quality control"

I got mine today, signed with a different quote.

For I Am In You, You Are In Me and We Are Us makes me nauseous.

Otherwise it's very good, better than Commemoration and Amnesia.
