Nobody Loved You was completely remixed for the 20th anniversary box set of TIMTTMY. Sounds like a completely different song...

Are you talking about the demo?

The studio version actually sounds a bit like it’s got a new mix.
On top of the heavy remastering that changes a lot of the songs more than usual with a remaster. But with Nobody Loved You I could actually agree on some changes in the mix.

Maybe I haven’t heard it enough and did t pay attention. Definitely remastered, but I didn’t notice such big changes

No, it was a joke about it being replaced by Prologue to History...

Without comparing the two versions of Nobody Loved You properly, the remastered version has much more punchy drums that cut through the mix during the chorus much more. Can't say if that's remastering or remixing but could be a slight remix given how much clearer they sound.

My idea that it actually has some changes to the mix are still valid.

Few others can add to the list
- Little Baby Nothing with the Streetcar Named Desire intro from the early copies of GT and the Promo 5 track version - Never Want Again where the Japanese version has a slightly longer intro - Dead Yankee Drawl where the Japanese version has a slightly longer intro - Roses In The Hospital which has the ultra rare 5:03 version of the radio edit with 'we don't want your fucking love' taken out - Revol with a spoken word middle from THB 20th anniversary boxset - Dead Passive which has a longer intro on the original single which isn't on future re-releases - Empty Souls where the single version has the two towers line replaced with dying flowers - The acoustic version of Your Love Alone Is Not Enough which has a James only, Nina only and James & Nina variants - Leviathan which has an intro on the download version but not the CD version - Jackie Collins Existential Question Time where the single version has the lyrics of 'begs' rather than 'fucks' a Catholic - As Holy As The Soil (That Buries Your Skin) where the original promo copies has a Captain Beefheart clip as an intro

I totally missed the rough Lifeblood mixes, made my weekend. Found some passable versions on youtube, was there any high quality versions ever made available does anyone know?

I met the band at an HMV signing session around the time of the Lipstick Traces release. I asked JDB why they re-recorded this track, and he replied that it had not been re-recorded, just remixed.

Ah fair enough, haven't listened to the original in years but I remember the vocal track sounding completely different.

‘Close My Eyes’ was definitely remixed for Lipstick Traces. I’m guessing quite a few were for it’s release.
